Christian Baute
Originally from Germany, Christian has spent over 25 years in film and TV production, distribution and international sales. Before Headline he worked with Celluloid Dreams as Senior Vice President Productions and Acquisitions where he was responsible for setting up productions in the UK, the US, Latin America, Japan, Germany and Canada, such as the Michael Haneke US remake FUNNY GAMES, and SON OF RAMBOW. Prior to Celluloid Dreams Christian has worked with the National Film Board of Canada, and Movimento Productions, his own company, producing TV documentaries, feature films, drama and filmic essays by Harun Farocki. At Headline Pictures Christian’s producer credits include THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, THE INVISIBLE WOMAN, QUARTET, and the International EMMY-winning PETER & WENDY. He worked on the development of, and executive produced the acclaimed KIN and TEN PERCENT, the London based remake of CALL MY AGENT. He has served as Vice President at the Independent Producer’s Alliance of France.
Derek Stubbs
After a career in teaching and higher education, Derek has managed media production companies for over thirty years, as well as working as a producer. He brings a wealth of experience in independent film production, combined with experience of consultancy and project management at a European level.
Derek is a director of the company and has particular responsibility for overseeing Headline’s financial and corporate affairs.
