Quartet

Feature film following Reg, Wilf and Cissy, retired opera singers who often worked together in the past and now live in a retirement home for former musicians. When Reg’s ex-wife Jean moves in, unannounced, tensions and past recriminations begin to stir. Financial difficulties threaten the closure of the home, but proceeds from a yearly gala concert on Verdi’s birthday could be the answer. It’s suggested that Reg, Wilf, Cissy and Jean reform their world-famous quartet as a way to make the concert more prestigious, but first they need to come to terms with their pasts.
